Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems
This vacuum cleaner is an ideal choice for those who live in apartments as it has a smaller docking system and comes with its own trash bin. Its application lets you set different modes and monitor cleans. The mopping function is also impressive.
Its mapping and obstacle avoidance are impressive, while it is able to mops extremely well and removes pet hair, spillages and dirt. It also self-empties and cleans, and refills its tank.
iRobot Roomba Combination
The iRobot Combo includes mopping in addition to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. It's not quite able to compete with our reigning Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which offers more cleaning power and an easier-to-use mobile app but it does make an excellent alternative. In our tests it was able to pick up dirt of all kinds and sizes from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance may not be as advanced as other systems, like LiDAR or structured light, but it is able to avoid most collisions.
The Combo includes the majority of the same functions as the j7 Plus and comes with the latest onboard acoustic sensors that determine the floor's type and AI-powered navigation. However, auto vacuum isn't able to set suction power manually. It's also smaller than the vac-only model and doesn't include an auto-emptying dock.
The Combo is one of my favorites for homes with a lot of space. Its elegant design is also one of the most attractive I've seen. The matte black finish is more elegant than the metallic or glossy finishes of many competitors. iRobot also adds some elegant touches, like the leather tab that opens the bin that is onboard and a shelf that can hold extra bags inside the dock. The iRobot Combo also allows you to create maps of your home, as well as to set up Keep-Out Zones, No-Mop Zones and Clean Zones.
Roborock
Roborock, a relatively new player in the robotic vacuum and mop industry, has already made its mark with an array of cutting-edge cleaning technologies. Roborock's vacuums are world-class in suction, and mopping systems make use of vibrating mops that scrub floors clean. Furthermore, a range of scheduling and mapping options allow you to fine-tune the bot's cleaning schedule for your home's specific needs.
Another outstanding Roborock feature is obstacle avoidance which allows the robot to see objects that are lower than its height. This is particularly useful for Roborock's most well-known models, like the Qrevo Master. It is the best in its class when it comes to navigation, due to the combination of vSLAM and LiDAR. Other robovacs are often seen to crash into furniture and slam into pet faeces and faeces with no awareness but the Qrevo Master solves this issue with Reactive AI, which utilizes twin cameras to detect objects in the room.
Roborock robots have a variety of convenience features to reduce maintenance. These include docks that are automatically empty, and mop washing stations with multiple functions. These features eliminate the need to empty dustbins or wash mops by hand, allowing to enjoy a hands-free ownership experience. Additionally, the app's simple design and seamless connection to the robot make it simple to use.
Hobot Legee D8
Hobot Legee, with its extensive variety of integrated cleaning features and advanced mopping capabilities is one of the best robot vacuums/mops that can be used on dry and wet floors. Its advanced navigation system blends five technologies to plan and follow a path that is the most efficient. It can also recognize different flooring materials, and obstacles with precision. It can even lift its own 7mm to glide over carpets. Smart spray system is able to use just the right amount of water to aid in stain removal without leaving water marks.
The Legee, the Gen 4 Robot, competes directly with the Eufy Robovac X9 or Ecovacs Deebot T20. Both robots cost more. It has more features than either one and has a more flexible, D-shaped body that cleans the corners and under cabinets better than a round robot. Its sensors include 360deg 3D (Lidar, Encoder, Gyro, and E-compass), four forward-facing and one right-side-facing FDS (IR ToF sensors for distance) and two cliff detectors in the front and back (most robots only have one pair). It also includes Legee SLAM, which helps to eliminate the bump-and-grind problems that plague Gen 4 robots.
The Legee is different from other robots because it has a trash compactor built-in and utilizes the quieter 5 GHz band of Wi-Fi. The LuLu mop wash station is included and can wash, refill and dries your mop 'cloth. The mop can be used for up to six times longer than other mops. It also reduces waste and the frequency at which bins are emptied.
Karcher RCV 5
Karcher is known for its gardening tools and pressure washers, has been dabbling with robot vacuums for some time. This is the most technologically advanced model from the company. It creates maps of your home using LiDAR, and can be programmed either to mop or vacuum. It also can tell the difference between hard floors and carpets, so that you don't get water puddles on your precious pile.

Its navigation is top-notch, avoiding furniture and rugs effortlessly and even lifting itself over steps. The robot can be customized with a variety of settings, including cleaning schedules and the rooms it is expected to clean. It also has an emergency button' that forces the robot to return home if its power runs out. It can be set to shut off automatically when a storm approaches.
The RCV 5 is easy to use and, despite being large at almost 4kg, it's not too difficult to manoeuvre around furniture. Those with small children will appreciate the safety features like a sensor that warns it to avoid stairs. Once fully charged it will take just some hours to charge and the two buttons on the top will flash green to indicate it's ready to go.
Mova E30 Ultra
The Mova E30 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner is a machine that is able to combine advanced technology with a low price. It's a direct competitor to models such as the Dreame L10 Ultra and Roborock's Q Revo. The Mova E30 Ultra is a cheaper model, but it comes with features that are not available in many other models. It uses sensors to adjust the settings to different surfaces and floors, as well as to detect dirtier areas. It also has the ability to move at a slower speed to avoid damaging furniture or walls.
The device can map your home's interior and display it within the app. You can also mark specific rooms and objects that you want the vacuum to stay clear of. The device will slow down when it spots an obstacle and stop from crashing into it. It is also equipped with smart dustbins that notify you when it's full, so that you can empty it on time.
The Mova E30 Ultra offers a affordable option for those looking to outsource their cleaning chores. It's a robot mop and vacuum that can clean your floors without you having to lift a finger. It also features a clever design that boosts the efficiency of cleaning corners by up to 60%. It can hold up to 7000 Pa of suction power, and RoboSwing arms, and it is controlled by the app or voice assistants like Alexa or Siri.
Beko RCV3
The Beko RCV3 is a fashionable and feature-packed hybrid robot vac/mop that does an excellent job of keeping floors spick and span. It's not able to lift its mops to clean carpets and rugs as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV ultra, but it's very effective in cleaning hard floors. It also has an auto-emptying bin, provides an excellent suction power, provides several mopping options and is operated by a high-end app that works on both iOS and Android.
It's a little smaller than the competitors and its main brush is smaller than others, but it did a great job of making short work of our test area with ease. The revolving edge brush on the side is a great feature. Although it didn't get rid of dirt as effectively as other competitors, it performed well.
The robot can be programmed to have individual cleaning parameters for each room. It will then create detailed maps using the built-in LiDAR navigation. It's easy to control via the app, and a range of voice output options will keep you informed of the state of your home robot. Regular updates to the software improve and extend its performance. The app can also be used to remotely manage the RCV3 when you're away from home.
